MASSTC "Waste No Water" Library Tour

Wednesday, July 242:00—3:00 PMAuditorium Brewster Ladies' Library1822 Main Street, Brewster, MA, 02631

The Cape is a complex wastewater puzzle with all pieces needed. One thing is for sure, we have to very quickly change our behaviors and attitudes towards our local waters before we lose them forever.

The Waste No Water Library Tour is a library series to engage the public in over 10 Cape towns, focusing on the wastewater successes and challenges each town faces. We’ll kick off the conversation with a showing of the recent Scientific American documentary that featured MASSTC’s efforts. We’ll invite local boards of health, pond groups, homeowners, water advocates and anyone interested in the topic of wastewater to gather and better understand how innovative/alternative systems, including urine diversion, are just one important piece of the ongoing wastewater puzzle.

Barnstable County's Massachusetts, Alternative Septic System Tech Center (MASSTC), will be on hand to educate and support questions around Cape Cod's wastewater woes with a focus on Innovative/Alternative (I/A) septic systems. With new regulations requiring I/A systems in designated nitrogen-sensitive natural resource areas, getting educated is key!
