Virtual Chocolate Tour in Bribri Indigenous Territory
Thursday, October 55:00—6:30 PMAuditorium Brewster Ladies' Library1822 Main Street, Brewster, MA, 02631
Join us at the library for a watch party of this virtual Costa Rican tour! This live tour takes place in one of the most remote places in Costa Rica. A guide from Enjoy Virtual Tours Costa Rica will teach us about the indigenous Bribri culture, their beliefs, and their way of life. We'll learn how chocolate is grown and prepared in the old-fashioned way, from the very fruit to the cup. The Bribri will also teach us about how their homes are built and about the medicinal plants that they have used for centuries. Because this is a live virtual tour, audience questions can be answered in real-time, and we'll have Costa Rican treats for sampling.
This program is offered in partnership with Whelden Memorial Library in honor of Indigenous Peoples' Day.
