Linda Wolff lives in Plymouth, MA and recently spent 16 years in Annapolis, MD. She has had a life long interest in art, although her career led her in the direction of becoming a cancer research scientist. She has had the opportunity to study oil and watercolor painting with Walt Bartman and Gavin Glakas (The Yellow Barn Studio, Glen Echo, MD), Jean Brinton-Jaecks (Annapolis, MD), Burton Silverman, (New York) and Mary Whyte, (Chatham, MA). This has led to an intense focus on developing her skill as a painter.
The artist likes to paint a variety of subjects including landscapes of New England, Maryland waterways, and European countryside as well as figures, portraits, and still lifes. She focuses on balance of color and using light to bring the eye to specific parts of her paintings. Linda is a juried member of the Cape Cod Art Center and a juried member of the Plymouth Center for the Arts. She has shown her work in many nationally advertised juried shows including shows at The Cape Cod Art Center, Plymouth Center for the Arts, South Shore Art Center and the Maryland Federation of Art
