Friday, May 32:00—4:30 PMAuditorium Brewster Ladies' Library1822 Main Street, Brewster, MA, 02631

Ed is a Harvard graduate Architect with a residential practice in New York and a summer residence with wife, Amy, in Brewster. Fifteen years ago, he realized a long standing “itch” to take up painting and enrolled in a watercolor course taught in his hometown of Larchmont, New York. He has been a member of and has won numerous awards in local New York Art Association shows. Ed paints from photographs taken anywhere, at any time, of scenes that present a challenge in their complexity, composition, or color. Ed’s paintings include a wide range of subjects including Brewster beaches in different seasons and weather, people on trains and planes, the Brewster Store many times, and lots of family portraits. Ed prefers to paint scenes including people because of the sense of humanity that they bring to the work.
