The Life of Colors

This exhibition shows a range of pieces from abstract beach landscapes and seascapes to works with deeper personal meanings, called bodyscapes. The landscapes depict the peaceful feelings that I have about living on the Cape for the past 20 years. When someone looks at my art they may be able to understand the reference point of my original inspiration. Sometimes my ideas are overcome by the energy that is created from the use of color, motion and line. These elements awaken the painting. I find color the most effective way to evoke feelings and emotions in my work. Most recently I have been experimenting with using acrylic and oil pastels to help create a richer impact of color on the canvas.
