Seashore Embroidery Workshop with Happy Hoops

Each patron will have the opportunity to learn some basic embroidery skills and create their own unique piece of embroidery hoop art with a seashore theme. Embroidery skills that will be taught and practiced include threading a needle with a threader, tying a knot, and the French knot stitch which will be used to create the project. Each project will be created using a 3” embroidery hoop, felt, embroidery floss, and embellishments such as rocks, seashells, and ribbon. All materials will be provided. Patrons will begin their projects at the workshop then enjoy creating them at their own pace.
Workshop materials will be provided by the instructor. Equipment such as scissors, embroidery needles, and hot glue will be used. For ages 16 and up.
Jessica Coen is a homeschooling mother of three. She created Happy Hoops as a way to handle the stress of daily life. Through this workshop she is hoping to cultivate interest in this simple form of relaxing and creative art.
