Preparing Your Garden for Spring: A Virtual Talk with Master Gardener Cherie Bryan

Tuesday, April 125:30—6:30 PMZoom

Join us as Cherie Bryan, a Barnstable County Master Gardener, discusses the various tasks we should be performing in our early spring gardens--including soil preparation, pruning, dividing perennials, and choosing ornamental and edible plants. Let’s look ahead together and bring your questions!

Cheryl Bryan has been a member of the Barnstable County Master Gardeners program since 2015. She has been active in the Children’s Garden in Brewster, the Speakers Bureau and the Mentoring programs. She was delighted to learn that the lessons she learned as a child following her father in the family garden were backed up by the science-based approach of the Master Gardening program. When not gardening Cherie sings in the Chatham Chorale and its Chamber Singers for over 20 years and The Noteables since retirement. She had a career working in libraries and then training librarians. After looking forward to more time in her garden upon retirement she has found with some adaptations gardening continues to be a rewarding pastime with more time to commit to it. Her current gardening interests are roses, a salad garden in raised beds, and nurturing the shrubs, trees and flower beds around her home in Orleans.
