Discovery & Enrichment Series: Trees & Forests: The role of trees in our past, present, and future

Wednesday, March 262:00—3:30 PMAuditorium Brewster Ladies' Library1822 Main Street, Brewster, MA, 02631

Come and learn about the role of trees and forests in Brewster’s past, present, and future.

Historically, trees have served as fuel, building material, and an economic commodity on the Cape. Today, they store climate-warming carbon, filter our water, and provide habitat to wildlife, making them key environmental players. Additionally, they populate the signature green space that is the heart of Brewster's rural character. As the emphasis on solar grows ever stronger, it becomes especially important to consider the role of trees and forests in our future.

Join us for this enlightening forum that will explore the balance between our environmental and aesthetic concerns with our energy solutions.

Jointly sponsored by BCT and the Brewster Ladies' Library Discovery and Enrichment Program, this event will be held in person and on Zoom.
