Nancy Hiney began oil painting in 2016 and paints plein air of buildings, bridges, telephone poles, fences, docks, and posts on Cape Cod, and other New England States. Mostly self-taught, she has taken workshops at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, and other artist-led groups, including Sarah Holl's studios, Orleans Modern Art, and Judy Ryan's studio in Somerville. At those places, she paints the figure seated in those Interiors. Nancy also is married to artist George Booth and resides in Barnstable. Her painting--and paintings--continues to evolve and simplify the chaos life can present, and be with nature alone.
George Booth studied painting at the University of New Hampshire and Provincetown. His interests are the process of painting. The subject matter of his work is his most immediate surroundings and dreams.
