31 Titles for Women's History Month
Sunday, March 242:00—3:00 PMAuditorium Brewster Ladies' Library1822 Main Street, Brewster, MA, 02631
Local Cape Cod author, Janis Robinson Daly, will share a curated list of thirty-one titles of historical fiction to celebrate Women’s History Month. From the graduates of the Woman’s Medical College of Pennsylvania, the subjects of Daly’s novel, The Unlocked Path, to the first woman to hold a Cabinet position, Frances Perkins, in Becoming Madam Secretary by Stephanie Dray, to Goes First, a Crow Native woman in Kathleen Grissom's Crow Mary, to local MA author Elizabeth Slade’s historical fiction, Momentum: Montessori, A Life in Motion, each book spotlights women in history whose achievements languished in the shadows until authors discovered their stories and wrote them, imagining the women’s emotional responses as they strode forward with dreams in their minds and hopes in their hearts. Come share which novels you’ve read on the list of thirty-one and discover others to add to your To Be Read list. Includes a Bingo-styled game with prizes, book signing, and more.
